Gasper Nali is a not-so-traditional babatoni player from the small town of Nkhata Bay on the shores of Lake Malawi.
The babatoni is an African one string homemade three meter long bass guitar, and with a stick and an empty beer bottle, together with a cow skin kick drum and catchy melodies, he creates the most amazing and danceable original Afro Beats possible!
Gasper’s unique style of Kwela music has received an extraordinary amount of online attention after a video of him playing by the lake shore went viral with over 20 million views. He has been featured by CNN and in the documentary Deep Roots Malawi, jammed with Joss Stone, appeared on Wired for Sound – Malawi, remixed by Aroop Roy for Sol Power Sounds and been played by Iggy Pop on BBC 6! His debut album, Abale Ndikuwuzeni, roughly translates to People, I want to tell you. It is a fitting title as Gasper’s songs, all sung in the Malawi national language of Chichewa, talk about life and strife in the country, often including social issues such as the rich and the poor, child marriages etc.
Gasper has toured the UK and Europe several times since his breakthrough video, playing in all environments from seated arts centres spaces to major festival stages. This year, Gasper will be transforming his customary one man band show and perform with a three piece band for the very first time in the UK. Along for the ride is Malawi born songsmith and cultural proponent Luhangah on additional vocals and percussion, as well as Gasper’s long time producer and collaborator Mattias Stålnacke on guitars.
Gasper will also release his new record Chule Chule Iwe to coincide with a UK tour in May / June of 2025.

Multi Award-Winning Folk-Americana Duo.
Think The Civil Wars meets Simon and Garfunkel! Their heartfelt songs, stunning vocals, and soul-stirring harmonies have transfixed audiences and propelled their last album What Comes Next to the top of the Amazon folk chart. Their latest Album Braver Days was released last September.
Following the release of their debut single in 2017, Tomorrow Bird was named Best Duo at both the 2017 and 2018 GSMC Awards. They followed this up with their award-nominated, self-titled debut album, and 2019 LGBTQ+ charity single, Love is Love.
Their NHS charity single Not All Heroes Wear Capes - and the title track from their new album, What Comes Next - also won GSMC Music Awards for Single of the Year, in 2021 and 2022 respectively.
After debuting at number one on the Amazon Folk Music Charts in June 2022, the pair's latest album has received glowing reviews, regular radio play, and brought home the coveted GSMC Music Award for Album of the Year 2023.
Jen Bird
A former musical theatre actress, Jen performed lead roles in Jesus Christ Superstar and The King and I before being bitten by the song writing bug. As a solo artist, she has released two albums and multiple singles including Shout at the Dark - a powerful anthem to raise funds for the mental health charity, SANE UK. She also performed three songs for Nintendo's critically acclaimed Xenoblade Chronicles 2 game soundtrack.
Simon Driscoll
Simon began his musical journey as a classical pianist before becoming the frontman of folk-rock band, Burnt Tomorrow. Following the release of the band's first two albums, he returned to his classical roots with two stunning piano albums, Hope Shines Through and (the Amazon classical chart-topping!) Broken Can Still Be Beautiful.
Together the pair are a musical force of nature advocating for truth, hope, courage, connection and empowerment.. Shining a compassionate light on those things that too often hide alone in the dark.

Jaz Delorean is a London based British singer, with the European touring band Tankus (formerly Tankus the Henge) and also on his own at the piano.
He has a colourful past together with a wild and wandering present. The songs that he sings and plays on the piano are tender observations of our fragile and sometimes twisted existence on this planet, taking inspiration from bar-room piano players of the Old West, the mournful melodies of his Cypriot ancestry and a patchwork of comic and tragic stories from growing up around a travelling funfair.
Strange things happen in dreams, but stranger things can happen in waking life, and Jaz Delorean has never shied away from baring his tattered soul to anyone willing to listen.
He’ll pull at your heartstrings and get you dancing to the rhythms of his fingers and forgetting your own worries for a time, before skulking off into the blackness behind the neon carnival lights again.

Align and Flow Yoga is influenced by the biomechanics and heart orientated philosophy of the Anusara Hatha style of yoga. With a specific alignment focus within the flow of postures the practice will tone and strengthen the body, improve posture and create more freedom in the body and mind resulting in a calm and relaxed state of being.
Each week there will be a different theme weaving its’ way through the session, but a typical class starts with breathing techniques to centre and ground, poses to warm up and then progresses to a fun and challenging mix of vinyasa and alignment yoga.
This class is designed to cultivate focus, stamina, strength, and flexibility. Leaving time at the end for a well-deserved relaxation.
Come prepared for an energising class that will also leave you feeling relaxed.
