Kite Festival And Workshops
We are thrilled to welcome you to our annual Kite Festival, a chance for the whole community to get together to show off their skills, flying home made or shop bought kites to the accompaniment of music and entertainment.
This year’s live performance headliner is Levantes Dance Theatre who present – high tea with a twist
Dressed to impress as always, the Canapé Art twins perform dance and acrobatics above a tastefully laid tea table, and mingle with the crowd for selfies and a cuppa. Expect glittery cakes, outrageous costumes and theatrical high jinx in an explosion of bright colour and silliness.
We will have live music from local boys Euphoria who are a young, exciting rock/indie band bringing a real energy to every performance.
As well as all the kite flying fun, there will be a bar, food stalls from local vendors, music, dance and entertainment.
Join us at Norden farm on Friday 16, Saturday 17 and Saturday 31 August for a kite making workshop which provides all the materials you need as well as expert tuition so that you are all set for the festival. Kite making sessions will also run throughout the festival on a drop in basis.
