James Church's Cabaret Night with Cassidy Janson

James Church hosts an evening with Olivier award-winning actress Cassidy Janson.

Cassidy is well known for starring in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, & Juliet and Chess. She shares stories and perform songs from her esteemed career. Cassidy's music career has catapulted over the past few years. She has shared a duet with Carole King in Hyde Park for 65,000 people to opening the West End post lockdown in The Mousetrap.

She has also performed alongside Amber Riley and Beverley Knight. This led to a nomination for a Classical Brit Award. She then signed to BMG records and proceeded to create her debut solo album. Her song When A Woman is also featured in the British movie Fisherman's Friends.

The star's theatre roles include playing Girl in Once at Theatre Orb (Tokyo), Ruth in Dessa Rose, Susan in Tick, Tick... Boom! alongside Neil Patrick Harris and Florence in Chess for English National Opera at the Coliseum with Michael Ball and Alexandra Burke. She was also a member of the original London cast of Wicked where she played standby for Elphaba.

Cassidy has a residency at Ronnie Scott’s with All That Jazz brunch, her four piece band and guest musical star each week.

On film her credits include The Hike, Tail's End, Day Trip to London, Full Circle, Coma and she has appeared in Casualty for the BBC.

The Great British Songbook

Critically acclaimed Italian vocalist Irene Serra (Wynton Marsalis, Norma Winstone, US3) and guitarist Luca Boscagin (Jason Rebello, Cinematic Orchestra, Jim Mullen) have joined forces on this album launch to release a special recording called The Great British Songbook.

Brought together by their passion for British pop music, they have handpicked some of the most loved songs by famous British singers and songwriters of the last 70 years and created fresh-sounding, unique arrangements. From The Beatles to Sting, Massive AWack and Imogen Heap, this evening will be a celebration of the most defining songs of the British pop-rock music scene reimagined through their signature groovy sound.

They will be joined by world class musicians Andy Hamill on bass (Mark Murphy, Laura Mvula, Annie Lennox), and Fergus Gerrand on drums and percussions (Madonna, Mike Oldfield, Sting).

Come and Sing the Musicals!

Come and have a summer sing and experience for yourself how good it feels to open your mouth, smile and sing in harmony with others.

Each themed session will include a fun, inhibition eliminating warm-up and learning one song (possibly two) from the chosen genre.

Think of this as a pop-up choir session. Whether your regular choir is taking a break over the summer, or you’ve always wanted to experience singing in a group, it’s a totally inclusive singing session. There will be parts to learn but you don’t have to be able to read music, all levels of experience with singing welcome. Come with friends, or come by yourself and make new friends!

Embrace the green! Hot off the heels of the Wicked movie release, we’ll choose a song, maybe two, to learn and sing together. Whether you fancy yourself as a Glinda or Elphaba we’ll all embrace our inner show star and sprinkle some magic!

Tabitha loves to sing and is passionate about the power of singing for all. Tabitha founded and led the Tuneless Choir in Maidenhead for eight years and has delivered Summer Sings as part of the Norden Farm programme for the last three years.

A multi-instrumentalist Tabitha has been a member of local Funk and Soul band, Funkin’ Souled Out, she delivers corporate business skills workshops through the medium of singing or the ukulele and enjoys writing and arranging vocal arrangements. Her style has been described as warm and vibrant with intoxicating enthusiasm.

Jazz Dynamos

The five-piece band, Jazz Dynamos take well known hit songs from the 70s and 80s, transforming them with a mix of jazz, bossa and samba.

Their unique set of exuberant, original contemporary jazz arrangements includes hits by Bowie, Dolly Parton, Madonna, U2, The Police, A-ha, Wham, and ELO, amongst many others.

Jazz Dynamos don’t just cover songs they completely re-imagine them. With versions incorporating seamless mashups, vibrant latin rhythms, and soulful ballads, all delivered with Lucy Randell’s effortlessly charming vocals and captivating stage presence.

Jazz Dynamos have performed sold out shows at the legendary Ronnie Scott’s and Pizza Express Jazz Clubs in London as well as festivals in UK, Italy, Sweden, France, Norway and Bulgaria, and at private events for British and Hollywood Royalty.

A favourite from last year, this evening’s event promises to be another unforgettable musical feast - don’t miss the chance to see them live.

Crafternoons - Tuesdays

Led by Creative Eye

Norden Farm's Crafternoons are relaxed crafting sessions for older people.

Get crafty with a range of activities, or bring along your own projects to work on with support from tutor Kayleigh Robinson.

You can learn new skills, meet new people and try something new, a cup of tea is included with the ticket price. Come either Tuesday or Wednesday and join in that week's craft. If you are unable to attend in person you can log on from home to chat and join in the session.

Local transport can be provided as part of the ticket price for those attending on a Wednesday.

Be transported to the sun-drenched streets of 18th century Seville as Bartlett Sher’s witty production of Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia comes to the big screen.

The Metropolitan Opera’s stellar cast features former Royal Opera Jette Parker Young Artists, Aigul Akhmetshina (Rosina), Jack Swanson (Count Almaviva) in his Met debut, Andrey Zhilikhovsky (Figaro), Peter Kálmán (Dr. Bartolo) and Alexander Vinogradov (Don Basilio), all under the baton of Giacomo Sagripanti.
